It’s been a long time since Ford automakers offered a midsize pickup truck. Recently, that’s changed with the 2019 Ford Ranger. Here at Dean Arbor Ford Lincoln, we’ve found that many drivers in the Alpena, MI area are interested in this midsize pickup truck, so we thought we would break down some of our favorite features on the 2019 Ford Ranger.

The 2019 Ford Ranger isn’t a copy of its big brother, the 2019 Ford F-150. However, if you’ve spent any time with the larger Ford truck, you’ll find plenty about the Ford Ranger familiar, especially inside. The interior features the Ford SYNC® 3 technology with available features like Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, blind-spot monitoring, and more, like in-car Wi-Fi.

This midsize Ford pickup truck runs on a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The model’s maximum towing capacity is 7,500 pounds. Two cab configurations are available: extended cab (SuperCab) and crew cab. The larger cab offers a six-foot bed, while the crew cab comes with a five-foot bed.

The 2019 Ford Ranger comes in three trim levels: the 2019 Ford Ranger XL, XLT, and Lariat. We recommend taking a look at the XLT, which adds 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, foglights, the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety system, extra USB port, and more. Safety features here include automatic emergency braking, auto high-beam control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

If you’re a driver in the Alpena, MI area looking for a well-rounded midsize pickup truck, we recommend checking out the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger. It’s the perfect companion for any driver looking to get stuff done without having to resort to a full-size option like the Ford F-150.
